We did it... we did it.... we finally finished our sewing project.
We took it to Cindy (sister in law's mom, amazing seamstress) and had her do it. And let me tell you, it wasn't difficult AT ALL. I brought her some chocolate and she finished it in no time at all!
Why didn't we think of that first???

We did think of that first, but then we thought that we could handle it ourselves. I mean, how hard could it be?? We tried, we failed. Next time we will try something easier. Maybe a little lap quilt??
That's true! We should try a quilt...
(for those of you who weren't there.... Cindy sewed our project for us and then showed us some of the features of a sewing machine. Then she told us that it was easy and we should try a simple project... like a lap quilt. Nice thought, but we couldn't thread the machine. I don't think a lap quilt is in our future.)
I feel your pain! I have a quilt that I've been working on since February of 2005. That's almost 3 years and I'm still not halfway done with it! Maybe I should follow your example and take it to Cindy.
